Distributions and Applications

The Distributions and Applications section of the Specification database contains information about distributions, their components, libraries, interfaces and classes. For applications, there are linkages between each application and interfaces that should present in the system in order to make the application work correctly.

Tables

The following entity tables form the Distributions and Applications section of the Specification database:

Application	Short information about applications
Distribution	Short information about distributions
Component	This table contains data about different upstream components (such as Qt, Gtk, glibc, etc.) in different distributions
RawClass	'Raw' classes are classes provided by libraries from upstream components.
RawCommand	'Raw' commands are commands provided by components from the 'Component' table.
RawInterface	'Raw' interfaces are interfaces provided by libraries from upstream components.
RawLibrary	'Raw' libraries are libraries provided by components from the 'Component' table.

Note that there can be Components not assigned to any Distributions and Raw Interfaces not assigned to any components, libraries or classes (this is the case when an application uses interfaces that are not in any registered component).
